JFGH is looking for a Volunteer Photographer to take photos at residential and major JFGH events and to teach interested residents basic photography skills.
Responsibilities
- Accompany the residents on their outings to Mears Marina, Wolf Trap, Washington, DC and other locations and take candid photos of them participating in activities
- Attend major JFGH events and photograph residents, staff and board members
- Retouch/edit photos as necessary
- Help interested residents build skills in photography
Requirements
- Ability to take professional quality photos
- Knowledge of and access to Adobe Photoshop or other professional quality photo editing software
- Valid driver’s license and car/ or a way to get to the locations
- Ability to work flexible hours (nights and weekends)
- Familiarity with JFGH and people with disabilities a plus
- Ability to work with a diverse population
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Benefits
Photography volunteers are given free admission JFGH events and can attend many of the activities the residents attend for free when photographing.
